বরগুনায় শ্বশুর বাড়িতে ইয়াবাসহ জামাই গ্রেফতার

বরগুনায় শ্বশুর বাড়িতে ইয়াবাসহ জামাই গ্রেফতার

বরগুনা পৌর এলাকায় শ্বশুরের বাসা থেকে জামাইকে ২৩০ পিচ ইয়াবাসহ গ্রেফতার করেছে জেলা (ডিবি) গোয়েন্দা পুলিশ।

মঙ্গলবার (৫ ডিসেম্বর) রাত সাড়ে ৮ টার দিকে বরগুনা পৌরসভার ৮ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের শ্যামলী হল এলাকার গ্রিনরোডের তার শশুর আবদুল বারেকের ঘরে অভিযান চালিয়ে জামাই নাহিদকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।

গ্রেফতারকৃত ওই ইয়াবা কারবারি হলেন, চাঁদপুর জেলার পৌরসভার ৭ নং ওয়ার্ডের বাসিন্দা হাজী কবির সরকারের ছেলে মোঃ নাহিদ হোসেন হৃদয় (২৫)।

পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, চাঁদপুর থেকে বিক্রির উদ্দেশ্যে ইয়াবা নিয়ে বরগুনায় শশুর বাড়িতে অবস্থান করছেন নাহিদ। এমন গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে (ডিবি) গোয়েন্দা পুলিশের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ওসি মোঃ বশির আলমের নেতৃত্বে অভিযান পরিচালনা করেন গোয়েন্দা পুলিশের সদস্যরা। এসময় ওই বাড়িতে তল্লাশি করলে ২৩০ পিস ইয়াবা পাওয়া যায়। পরে ইয়াব জব্দসহ নাহিদকে আটক করা হয়।

এ বিষয়ে বরগুনা জেলা গোয়েন্দা পুলিশের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মোঃ বশির আলম বলেন, গ্রেফতার নাহিদ একজন ইয়াবা সেবনকারী এবং বিক্রেতা। মাদক বিক্রির গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে অভিযান চালিয়ে ২৩০ পিস ইয়াবাসহ নাহিদকে তার শ্বশুরের বাসা থেকে আটক করা হয়েছে। আটক নাহিদের বিরুদ্ধে পরবর্তী আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা চলমান রয়েছে।
